Question by Dude: Have you noticed TV has dumped the hot 18-25 hotties for middle aged MILFs on most of the dramas and comedy's?
CSI and others have followed suit. The actors don't need to look like supermodels anymore.

My marketing guess is that Middle-Age follows the demographic that still watches network tv, and has disposable income.
18-25 tends to not have the money yet to spend on advertiser's products, and they are more attuned to alternative channels of media and entertainment. They prefer to get their entertainment via downloads, websites, direct in movie theaters, but NOT sitting home on a weeknight.
The demographic that is watching wants to see people their own age, not somone that makes them feel older. Just my guess.
