Why do people have such a hard time understanding there is no romantic love without sex?

People seem to have a hard time understanding what true romantic love really is. Why are they so confused with "love" and "sex" and could that have something to do with our ultra high divorce rate in our country?
For people who will most likely misunderstand my question:
You would not marry someone you didn't want to have sex with. --or at least you shouldn't anyway, otherwise that would be a relationship of convenience.
You love your children and your brother and parents as well....so what distinguishes "true" love and "romance"?
I wish someone would actually read and understand what I am trying to say

well you are right, but sometimes it cant really matter that much. eg i saw this handsome man married to a dwarf, and not just a dwarf she was extremely short the height of a two years old, on top of that she dint have hands,(arms), and will you say this hot handsome man wanted to have sex with her?? no, he loved her so much and it didnt matter if she will be able to satisfy him sexually or not.i think love comes first sex later.
i personally married my husband who at that time was very fat and could not perform sex properly, but i loved him and married him. now because of the feeling of being loved he worked so hard that he redused i couldnt believe it.and we are happy.
